Makoshika Dinosaur Museum offers an opportunity to view dinosaurs of the past in a safe and fun setting. Located in a historical building in downtown Glendive, and with the bad lands as a backdrop, Makoshika Dinosaur Museum is in the heart of dinosaur country. Much of the dinosaurs displayed are found in the Hell Creek formation as well as around the world.
Makoshika Dinosaur Museum is dedicated in teaching the general public about dinosaurs and the science of paleontology through displays and interpretive material. There is an on-site working prep-lab for viewing the preparation of fossils, and arrangements can be made ahead to go on a dinosaur dig.
Many of the displays are locally found and several life-like displays make you feel as if time stood still. Makoshika Dinosaur Museum is on of the stops along the Montana Dinosaur Trail and about 1 mile from Makoshika State Park (Montana's largest state park.)
Enjoy an experience of a life-time. This dinosaur adventure will be a visit you will remember for years to come.
Museum admission fee is $5 for adults, $3 for students and seniors, and no charge for ages 5 and under.
